Asia Argento is an Italian actress and film director who was born into the largest family with both. She's taken on these two fields of work for herself. She made her debut when she was just nine years old, in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni (1985). In 1988, she played her role as the main character in Cristina Comencini's first film, Zoo (1988), and was one of the actors in The Church (1989), directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon, directed also by Moretti in 1989, played her character in the role of Nanni Moretti's little daughter. Close Friends, written and directed by Michele Placido in 1992, was the point where Asia's acting career started off. After playing the role of young girls, she shifted to more complicated and mature roles. The movie was well-received at the Cannes International Film Festival. The actress has produced three films along with her father, Trauma, The Stendhal syndrome and Phantom of the Opera. The Phantom of the Opera is her third movie she has made with her father.
